Sometimes life is like waiting for a bus to come. You wait ages, nothing happens and then four are arriving at the same time. With me it's the same. 10 years after I released my last CD Words of my father, the "life’s trilogy" cycle will finally be out this spring. It has been 8 years in the making but it was worth taking the time. I'm really proud of the result, it is literally a labour of love, the 3 albums all have to do with life and the way we live through it.
Part 1 A life in colour . Out on May 6th!!
This work is dedicated to the painter Wiebke Dreyer (1973-2015). It is an acoustic latin music influenced album. It features Linda Jozefovski on flute, Andreas Lang on double bass and Joe Smith on drums, plus special guest on some tracks, Laura Robles on percussion, Suzanne Paul on cello, Gerdur Gunnarsdottir on violin and Stefanie Farands on viola. it will be released on May 6th on Bandcamp, (by far the best platform for musicians), Apple music, 7digital and Amazon music. The limited edition (100 copy) signed and numbered CD has a 12 pages booklet with Wiebke Dreyer's artwork, preorders are advisable to secure a copy.
Part 2 The turns of life . Out on June 6th!!
The text I wrote for this album are dealing with the various situations you may face in life. The music has a souly, folky, bluesy feel to it and after trying out various singers I sung the lyrics myself since the text are very personal and it felt like the right thing to do. It features Steve Pringle on Keys and Lewis Wright on drums. It will be released on June 6th on Bandcamp, Apple music, 7digital and Amazon music. A limited edition (100 copy) signed and numbered Vinyl and CD will be available, preorders are advisable .
Part 3 Life’s slice . Out on July 1st!!
This is a more jazz rock, fusion, groove influenced concept album taking the audience through the various stages of my life. Featuring Johannes Lauer on Rhodes, Phil Donkin on Bass and Bernd Oezsevim on drums.
Life’s slice will be released on July 1st on Bandcamp, Apple music, 7digital and Amazon music.
A limited edition CD (100 copy) signed and numbered will be available.
Parallel to the "life trilogy" the album Trio Volaire - Moments featuring Ben Davis on cello and Oskar Gudjonsson will be released on April 9th on Bandcamp, Apple iTunes, 7digital and Amazon music. Digital download only.
This music was recorded a while back in London but never released before, listening back to it I thought that it ought to be shared with the world, the playing is ultra sensitive, the compositions very engaging, a real trip in dreamland.

Manchmal ist das Leben wie das Warten auf einen Bus. Man steht an der Haltestelle, es passiert ewig nichts und dann kommen vier Busse gleichzeitig an. Bei mir ist es genauso. Zehn Jahre nachdem ich meine letzte CD Words of my father, veröffentlicht habe, wird in diesem Frühling endlich der Zyklus "life's trilogy" erscheinen. Es hat zwar acht Jahre gedauert, aber es hat sich auch gelohnt, sich die Zeit zu nehmen. Ich bin wirklich stolz auf das Ergebnis, es ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes ein Werk der Liebe. Alle 3 Alben haben mit dem Leben und der Art, wie wir es durchleben, zu tun.

Die Texte, die ich für dieses Album geschrieben habe, handeln von den verschiedenen Situationen, denen man im Leben möglicherweise begegnet. Die Musik hat einen souligen, folkigen, bluesigen Touch. Nachdem ich verschiedene Sänger ausprobiert hatte, habe ich beschlossen die Texte doch selbst zu singen, da sie zu persönlich sind und ich das Gefühl hatte, dass es das Richtige ist. Mit dabei sind Steve Pringle an den Keys und Lewis Wright am Schlagzeug. Es wird am 6. Juni auf Bandcamp, Apple music, 7digital and Amazon music veröffentlicht.
